I spend a lot of time on the ocean.. It seems my life has somehow gravitated towards water… even as a child I was a magnet to it. Water inspires me… and as I look at the music I’ve written I see a pattern of reference. I’ve had the opportunity to experience the open ocean on a boat… and the power… the magnificent power of water. Water is important to all creatures of the earth, and it is rich in spiritual tradition. Of course, water is one of the four elements… symbolizing emotion and intuition.

And so… this weekend I spent some time with family and we were talking about the oil spill in the gulf of mexico… and I started to imagine my life without water…

So what about all creatures of this planet? With all the damage we’ve already done, can we afford to further damage our precious cleansing ocean… which takes up 71% of the earth??

It’s a crazy thought…
