
The scratch tracks are scratching themselves into existence. It’s always an exciting stage for me, hearing the skeleton of each song, and listening back, imagining it’s potential. This album sounds very different from the others in that every song is acoustic guitar based. Usually my scratch tracks would be worked out at a piano or keyboard. It’s a refreshing change.
Whenever I’m not teaching, or eating or some other essential task, I’ve been recording. Putting as much energy into it as I can!!
I did, however, take a break yesterday to go FLYING and look at all the flood waters. Mark took us up into the sky in his plane and I hung out the window with my camera. We flew until just before sunset which made for wonderful lighting and stunning views.
