Last night miss Robyn aka appletreecafe arrived at Kalyanka! She took the epic train / bus trip that I’ve taken a couple times (14 hrs) on top of a 25hr flight from Toronto. It is ‘A LONG JOURNEY’ as Robyn put it… I forgot how disorienting it can be arriving in the dark as well.. and so she was a little out of sorts. And then, I showed her her room… and it just so happened that a huge Huntsman had found a home on the floor at the foot of the bed. So first off we had to de-Spider her room. I think she was overwhelmed by the complete darkness, and the background hum of city was replaced by the buzzing and scratching of all sorts of little critters. So she ended up crashing with me for the night, and this morning we woke up to a beautiful misty rain. Today: very inspired! Planning our Australian goals and adventures!
