Feet Touch Ground.

TOWNSVILLE QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA

After 2 months of non-stop travel (throughout Australia, Tahiti and Moorea) .. mostly by boat ( and one long plane ride ), it’s been refreshing to be in one place.  For 10 days now, the boat has been tied to a dock, and I’m just starting to feel grounded!  Sea-legs are starting to fade.. so I’m no longer staggering around, drunk-like.  For anyone who has done extensive travel via boat, you’ll know it takes some time to get used to walking on solid ground :)

Townsville is a pretty funky little spot.  It has a small-town vibe… nice older buildings, and a gorgeous walkway along the ocean called THE STRAND.  There is an artsy, down-to-earth vibe so I feel it’s the perfect place to be right now.

Apart from enjoying the sensation of solid ground.. I’ve been listening to drum and bass that have now been recorded on Leopardwood…  Mike is just finishing up the bass tracking, by Justin Dunlop and soon the album moves onto the next stage: GUITARS!  Thanks to everyone who has been following along… step by step through the making of this album.   It may seem like it takes so long, from conception to the final product, but it’ll be worth the wait.  The album is pretty raw and full of heart (mine and everyone who has worked on it)!
